At Midwest Forensics, Inc. we find that evidence and present it to you using the best software and hardware available in the world of forensic analysis.
Whether your case involves the use of e-mail, chat, misappropriation or simply lost data, the forensic examiners at Midwest Forensics, Inc. can assist you with your case in a thorough and timely manner. Whether it's a complex case or a matter of data recovery, we have the tools to do the job. If your case is based on e-mail or chat, time is sometimes crucial, as Internet Service Providers only retain documentation for a period of time. That documentation can often make a case when the evidence is also located in computer data.
We specialize in the Forensic Analysis of all types of digital media for individuals, corporate clients, law firms and government agencies. Midwest Forensics, Inc. is owned and operated by a former law enforcement veteran who has completed hundreds of examinations. With experience in a broad range of forensic tools, both hardware and software, our examiners will protect your potential evidence and factually substantiate your case when evidence exists. Our certified examiners specialize in using state-of-the-art forensic tools to investigate electronic evidence in relation to events such as:
- Theft of proprietary data
- Corporate misuse of computers
- Threats
- Fraud
- Murder
- Child pornography
- Child solicitation
- Missing persons
- Spoliation of data
- Data loss/Data recovery
- Intellectual Property Theft
- Embezzlement
- Divorce and Child Custody
Locating computer evidence is similar to putting a puzzle together with each piece being potential legal evidence, making it imperative that each piece of the puzzle be safeguarded. When the puzzle is complete the entire picture can often be seen. At Midwest Forensics, Inc. we will complete the picture for you using cutting-edge technology and provide expert witness testimony to our findings.

We have the software and equipment to recover data from a variety of electronic media. People often have the mistaken assumption that if a computer won't boot up, their data is lost; this is not always the case, in fact more often than not the data is fully recoverable. Data can also be recovered from cell phones, PDA's, and other electronic media. Midwest Forensics, Inc. knows that whatever your data is, whether it's family pictures or your family's financial documents, it's important that we recover them for you. Call us today for all of your data recovery needs.

At Midwest Forensics, Inc. we believe that a good relationship with our clients will assist us in bringing their investigation to a successful conclusion. Our clients are informed at all phases of an investigation so that the money they have invested in their case is spent wisely. Our goal is to give our clients the best service possible while keeping costs to a minimum. We know that giving our clients exemplary service at a reasonable cost will inspire them to seek our assistance in the future for all of their forensic needs.

Every person accused of a crime deserves the best defense possible. Having worked many defense cases, we know that correct interpretation of data is paramount. If the State's examiner misinterprets data it can make their case appear stronger than it really is. Take for example a case of several teens accused of plotting a terror attack on their school using a popular teen website. One of the accused denied any wrongdoing, however the State's forensic report insinuated that the teen had ingaged in the plotting of the attack because the other teens screen names appeared numerous times on his hard drive. A review of the evidence revealed that the teen had visited the web sites maintained by the other teens, thus leaving copies of the pages, and in turn their screen names, on his hard drive. There was no evidence that the teen had engaged in the plot to attack the school and the case against him was dismissed.

If you are in need of a computer forensics expert to complete analysis of a computer, review discovery in your case, testify in court as an expert witness or simply to recover data that may have been deleted or lost, call us at Midwest Forensics, Inc. and we'll assist you in understanding the world of digital evidence and how it relates to your case. Assisting you in putting a case together that will withstand the scrutiny of the courts is always our goal.
